Our timeless design classics

Ever since Superfront was founded back in 2013, our aim has been to create design that can live for a long time. We don't follow temporary trends because they are, indeed, temporary. Instead, we want to create timeless design that is not only relevant today, but also ten years from now.

In this way, we hope to save both your and Mother Nature's resources. We are therefore proud to see that many of the designs and handles we launched in 2013 are still our most popular! Here you can read more about them.

Harlequin

With its grid of rhombuses – or diamond shapes, if you like – Harlequin is a true classic whose colourful ancestors go back as far as the 16th century. Our take is a subtle, stripped-down relief of the recognisable pattern that can be applied to any colour – making it blend easily into both classic and hyper-modern settings.

In other words, you can be sure that no matter what furniture you choose to design, our beloved rhombus pattern will fit like a glove – and effortlessly complement your interior. Because you can't really go wrong with something as timeless as Harlequin!

Holy Wafer

Holy Wafer is available in brass, copper, steel and lacquered steel. With time, the untreated brass and copper will develop a beautiful patina. The shape of our Holy Wafer has been designed as simple as possible – it is a circle shape that has been bent softly, making half the circle visible. For those who agrees with us that simplicity wins in the long run.

Illusion

A classic optical illusion that shifts between zigzag patterns and stacked cubes, hexagons and rhombuses – depending on what you focus your gaze on. How the pattern appears also varies with the changes in light throughout the day.

The subtle three-dimensional effect of this design adds a vibrant yet timeless feel to your furniture or kitchen. And if you ever run out of conversation topics, you can always ask your guests what shapes they see and analyse their personalities based on their answers!

Circus

Circus is available in brass, copper, matte black and aluminium. With time, the untreated material will develop a beautiful patina. Our Circus handles aesthetic expression is taken from geometries uncompromising design. Two cylinders of different diameters have been cut and joined together to form a handle that is as simple as it is useful.

Over the years, Circus has formed a whole family!
The handle Long Circus which is an extended version of the original – and then the smaller knob Mini Circus with its longer siblings Long Mini Circus and Extra Long Mini Circus.

Big Fish

Nature has an impressive ability to create shapes and patterns with impeccable precision and harmony. Like the scales of a fish, rounded and glistening in neatly overlapping rows – so aesthetically pleasing that it's hard to believe they're there for practical reasons.

For this design, we borrowed the scales from a fish – a really big one – and created a playful but stylized pattern with the same soft, orderly shapes. If you are not a big fan of fish, you can always think of billowing waves instead!

Blocks

When we designed this pattern, we had the functionalist design of the 1930s, Japanese tea houses and beautiful folding walls in mind. With its deconstructed grid and thoughtful composition, Blocks is a design that never goes out of style.

Squares and rectangles alternate in a seemingly random but balanced sequence. The angular shapes speak to other details in the interior, creating both order and a cosy atmosphere in the room. Blocks give your furniture an austere and timeless, yet playful look.

Wire

Wire is available in untreated brass and with a lacquered or chrome finish. With time, the brass Wire handles will develop a beautiful patina. The handle is made of three different pieces: two rivets and one shaped metal wire welded together. The welding is partly visible and tells about the craftsmanship behind this timeless design.

Loop

The loop handle is made of untreated, naturally tanned Tärnsjö-leather and as a result ages beautifully. The bright colours will darken over time. Choose a rivet in brass, copper, matte black or chrome-plated brass resembling polished steel. The rivets in brass and copper are untreated, which will also give them a nice patina over time. To give our Loop handle an elaborate sense, we have thinned out one of the two ends of the piece of leather so that it wraps over the other short end and thus encloses the rough surface that would otherwise be visible there. Small details are what makes all the difference!
