The WOOD COLLECTION.

Wood is a living material with an unbeatable ability to add warmth to a room. With wood and other natural materials in your home, nature is always present – no matter where you live. The Wood Collection offers timeless design in wood veneer for the Ikea frames: Metod, Pax and Bestå. The collection is available in six unique shades of wood.

Exclusive elegance with
kitchen doors in dark wood.

With wood veneer doors, you get the same vivid feeling as with doors made of solid wood, but with the advantage that the doors will not warp over time, which might happen with doors in solid wood. Our veneered doors for Ikea's cabinet frames make it possible for you to create personal kitchens and furniture in wood that are both affordable and last over time.

In the collection, we have consistently used ash wood – a type of wood known for its beautiful grain. Once the thin veneers have been cut from the log, they are carefully chosen to create a calm and harmonious result even in a kitchen with many doors and drawer fronts. Some variation in colour, texture and grain can still occur – but that's also the beauty of living materials!

To achieve the different colours, we have stained the wood and to get a result that lasts over time, we have finished with a UV-resistant lacquer. Choose kitchen doors and cover panels in dark wood to give your kitchen a sober and exclusive expression. Or add a classic, Scandinavian touch to your living room by refacing a sideboard with doors, top panel and cover panels in light wood.

This placement of the legs requires that the furniture is well anchored to the wall and not loaded too heavily. For furniture that is wider than 120 cm or consists of several frames, placing legs in each corner as well as in the middle is normally recommended.

Plain and grooved doors in wood
veneer – in six unique colours.

The wooden doors are available in two different designs. Plain is a completely smooth door where the wood grain plays the main role, while Vertical has a grooved design that makes us think of luxurious design bars with ribbed wood slat paneling. Both designs are available in six colours – which gives you twelve unique design variants to choose from!

Umber Wood is related to dark woods such as walnut, teak and smoked oak, but has its very own character that makes this dark wood tone unique. In addition, the stained ash wood is a sustainable alternative to tropical woods such as wenge and mahogany.

Biscotti Wood can be compared to oak but with less redish hue and fewer deviating light streaks, which gives it an elegant character that makes it easier to combine with other woods and colours.

Alabaster Wood has only been treated with a touch of white to retain the bright character of the ash wood, which together with other blonde woods such as birch, pine and white pigmented oak has a significant role in the Scandinavian design tradition.

The remaining three colours – two different grey and one green shade – come from our existing colour palette and are therefore called Thunder Wood, Cloudy Wood and Willow Wood.

Long wooden handles
made from solid ash wood.

With its clean design and steady grip, Bar is more than a handle. The grip bar in solid ash wood is available in lengths that correspond to the widths of all our drawers fronts and the lengths of all our door fronts – including the tallest wardrobe doors! This allows you to create kitchens, wardrobes, bathroom furniture and other storage with a well-thought-out and tailored feel where the handles elegantly stretch along the entire fronts.

Choose Bar handles in the same colour as the doors for a discreet yet characteristic expression. Or combine with lacquered doors in a contrasting colour for a more eye-catching effect!
